A Bit About JOHN SKORDIS
John Skordis did his studies at the Sports Academy of Sofia, in Sofia/Bulgaria and completed his bachelor's degree at the School of of Physical Education and Sports Science of the Democritus University of Thrace with specializing field that of basketball.
Post graduation, he made his master's degree in the field of Sports Organization and Administration at the University of Peloponnese.
He has been a member of the Greek Basketball Coaches Association since 2003 and in 2018 he earned an association's scholarship in Oklahoma/USA, where he observed respective NCAA and N.B.A teams practice.
John Skordis has been for several years, the coach of the girls U16 and U18 Greek National Teams.
He had for many years a collaboration with The Hellenic Basketball Association and the Local Association of Basketball Clubs in Argolis & Corinthia and was in charge of the boys and girls development levels programs as well as the Association's girls regional coach.
John Skordis has worked for several seasons at the summer camps of Nick Galis in Halkidiki, the Caan
Basketball Academies in Loutraki, the Basketball All Sport Camps of the Greek-German Schools in Pallini, at Basketball Camps at Ranch Skouras in Sofiko Corinthia and also at the Biofit Basketball Camp Hermione all next to renowned coaches and connoisseurs of the sport.
He has worked for many Basketball Academies such as that of the Municipality of Pallini, of the Agia Paraskevi BC, of Cholargos BC, of Centauro Dafni, of Pefkis AC, of Corinth BC and A.C. Kranidi.
From 2008 to 2020 John Skordis functioned as a coach and head of the development department of Hermione now Hermione Sports Club with which he won the regional championships of the Association in all developmental ages as well as in the Men's and Women's categories.
Currently he is a practicing physical education teacher in primary education while he has also been a coach and physical education teacher in the sports schools of the Prefecture of Argolis since 2007.
