ARATOS KIATOU

Aratos of Kiato”  was founded as a Gymnastics Club on March 25, 1893, in the beautiful seaside town of Kiato, Corinthia, and became one of the 28 founding members of S.E.A.G.S. (now S.E.G.A.S., the Hellenic Athletics Federation) in January 1897.

In 1899, the Club was dissolved, only to be re-established 79 years later, in the spring of 1978, in its modern form as "A.O. Kiatou", and since 2000 it has operated under the name "ARATOS 1893 A.O. Kiatou", with Basketball and Volleyball departments.

 

The club places strong emphasis on the proper functioning of all age groups in Basketball, making it the largest and most consistent academy in Corinthia. Its athletes, both male and female, have reached as far as the junior national teams and even the Women's National Team.

 

The club’s home is the recently renovated and energy-upgraded Indoor Gymnasium of Kiato, known as the "warmest" home ground in the Argolis-Corinthia local league — in a town that lives and breathes Basketball!
